Marine Animals and their Environments

Teachers participate in field and lab studies exploring mangrove, coral reef, and seagrass ecosystems, examining the planktonic lifestyles of marine organisms, studying basic fish physiology, and learning how technology is being applied to marine science. By working side by side with graduate students and professors, teachers gain valuable experience and first hand knowledge from professionals in the field. All activities have been designed for clarity, simplicity and use by teachers in the classroom.
